God Stoney is such a good guest!

John Bilancini

Rax was a huge part of my childhood. My cousin went to one of the few remaining ones in southern Ohio and says that the food is basically just Sodexho cafeteria food now with Rax signage.

Rax was in Minnesota in the late 80s and early 90s. I remember liking the roast beef sandwich, very Arby's-ish.

The one in my hometown got turned into an Arby's in the early 90's. I can barely even remember when it was a Rax.

I am NOT into Spoonman’s sudden beef with Chicago. We have little brother/sister syndrome, lay off us!

On a road trip from Minnesota to Vermont and back last year my brother and I stayed a night in Joliet, IL where there is still a Rax (haven't listened yet not sure if they mention that a very small number still exist). My brother is eight years older than me and told me about going to Rax when we were kids. I am 35 and had no recollection of ever even hearing of Rax before the night we spent in Joliet. The roast beef sandwich was pretty good. My story is pointless, but you mentioning my home state set me off.
