She was on fire during this movie but she did not doubt it so zero out of ten horrible movie. I'm joking of course I really loved this movie! To me, it felt like a nice warm hug for 2 hours as we got to watch Robin Williams chewing up the scenery in a role MADE for him. I wouldn't be surprised if this movie had been scrapped had he turned down the role because I could not see anyone else playing Mrs. Doubtfire. Not only is Williams good at the comedy, which feels so natural that it makes you wonder how much was improve and how much was scripted, he is also really good at the dramatic moments as well. One of my favourite parts of the movie was how much time it gave us with the family BEFORE Mrs. Doubtfire. It really allowed us as an audience to understand the situation and get to know the dynamics in a very real way. Also the ending (and big massive spoilers for that right now if you haven't seen it stop reading), I am so glad that Daniel and Miranda did not end up getting back together. It felt like such a mature and different take on the family. Listening to Mrs. Doubtfire talk about how kids grow up in all kinds of situations but in the end, with love everything will be alright gave me chills and the ending must have been so special to kids of divorced parents who never see their lifestyle on screen. Robin Williams was hilarious as always and the kids were gosh darn cute. Also Pierce Brosnan was in this movie which made my day as I had no idea he was in this!

They shot many hours worth of footage and clipped out the best stuff that was PG to put in the movie. Most of the funny stuff was improv. I keep hoping they will find some of the unused footage somewhere because with Robin Williams gone, that would be really fun to watch

Robin Williams life was a bit like the character. He was a street performer near the studio lot and he got offered a job after an actor quit last minute and turned that guest spot into a series and took off from there.
