I got the feeling you felt K lived but I'm pretty sure he died at the end as his eyes stopped blinking. Also the nice touch that the memory lady was the daughter was early when she viewed K's memory and started crying. At the time you don't think of it but when you do the question becomes why did she cry, just because a real memory was illegally used in a replicant, no, but because it was actually her memory. And yes you should see Drive, another slow but great movie.
