Wesley having magic powers is among the most out of left field plotpoints TNG has ever done. Stuff like this almost only happened in really early or really late TNG.

Call it woke, call it progressive, call it whatever but this episode reminds us that Star Trek has ALWAYS been that. I just find it funny how the writers didn’t have the foresight to know that “Indian” would be a cancelled descriptor. Unless it came full circle by the 24th century 😂

By today's standards Star Trek up to and including ENT is soooo conservative. (Excluding S1 of TNG.) Edit: I don't mean US-conservative or republican, more in a philosophical sense.
