Mini Review #71: Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) (Patreon)
Content
This movie made me hungry for another breakfast because the word breakfast was (and still is) on my mind for two hours! I really enjoyed this film and it had some great moments plus a stand out performance from Audrey Hepburn. She was absolutely fantastic in the role of Holly and her flamboyant/eccentric nature mixed with a very deep sadness made for a very distinct character. Paul was also such a great character. There was a moment where he was taking hit after hit after hit (verbally) and was taking it like a champ. If I was in his shoes at that moment, I probably would have left crying my eyes out or something. I also want to shout out the cinematography and music. The cinematography was magical at times and there were one or two shots that were striking to look at. The ending was also filmed so exceptionally well and anything with rain make any scene 100x more romantic. The music as well gave off this old Hollywood vibe which I loved and I got chills on multiple occasions from the score.
Overall, a really good movie but don't watch it if you are hungry! It's not like there is a lot of food in it or anything it's just for me, the title of the film alone made me crave a good breakfast!!
