Wow what a good movie that left me humming and hah-ing at the end. Some incredible camera work and imagery captivated me from the start and the sleazy smooth jazz score by Bernard Herrmann made me feel like I was in a dark alley in the rain. Robert De Niro was absolutely excellent as Travis, a lonely man cast away by society and with his own personal issues and extreme beliefs. What I liked about this movie the most was how it never told you what was right and wrong. No matter how extreme Travis got, there were always arguments to be made about the "nobility" of his actions. Also, the ending is crazy good and will have you trying to interpret it forever. If I ever watch this again, I'll want to keep a close eye on the lighting as I feel as if it tells a story throughout the film.

I’ll have to keep an eye on the lighting. I hadn’t noticed that. Good timing I had been thinking about this movie since we have been doing Jodie Foster movies lately
