Two more really good episodes today! Second Sight started of very emotional as it was the 4 year anniversary of Jennifer's death. Seeing Sisko and Jake sit together in silence and talk about her briefly brought some tears to my eyes and made me want to see so much more of their father and son duo. The rest of the episode was a great way to help Sisko move on from Jennifer and try to find love again. Fenna was a great addition this episode and brought so much joy to Sisko it made me smile with delight. Seyetik was also a fun character and reminded me of an old Bashir. All these fun and games though had to disappear at some point thought and by the end of the episode, I was left with another bittersweet and sad ending that DS9 does best.

Sanctuary was such an interesting episode and brought about the real world topic of mass immigration to the forefront. The arguments to let the Skrreean not have a place on Bajor made a lot of sense and originally, I sided with them as well. In the final few moments of the episode however, DS9 managed to open my mind and helped me see the larger grey area surrounding this issue as a whole. Nog and Jake were also so much fun in this episode and the DOMINION was mentioned again!! I am so excited to see what this Dominion is and how it will influence the show in the future.

Next week you start with my least favorite episode of the series.

Graham Pilato

I love Second Sight. Lovely character development and lovely acting in it. I really feel for both Sisko and Jake in it, but also the amusing Sayetik and his suffering wife. Just a really good small episode of DS9 about lonely characters in space like us.
