Mini Review #34: Sleepy Hollow (Patreon)

WOW THE ATMOSPHERE IN THIS THING!! Tim Burton doing what Tim Burton does best. He manages to craft an unnerving and creepy film through gorgeous cinematography, uncanny set design, and beautifully dull locations, which combined with Danny Elfman's eccentric score and Tim Burton's own directorial style, creates a wondrously entertaining and spooky movie. Perfect for Halloween!

While I do think the 2nd act drags a bit and loses some of the films opening momentum due to some forced romance segments, I really loved the third act of this film as well as all of the set pieces that included the headless horseman. He was so sick by the way and the effects on him were incredible! Overall a great Halloween movie ripe with atmosphere and style that is definitely worth a watch with a bucket of popcorn if you haven't seen it!
