Lwaxana Troi was played by Majel Barrett Roddenberry, Gene Roddenberry's ex-wife. She also played "Number One" on the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Original Series (you would have seen her in the episode "The Menagerie" during the flashback scenes), Nurse Christine Chapel in Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and is the voice of the computer and Lwaxana in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Barrett's also in the animated series, the voice of the OG series computer, Voyager's computer, she's in Enterprise and the 'puter in JJ's reboot. She's literally in ALL Star Trek up until she, herself shuffled off our mortal coil to be amongst the stars. RIP, Lwaxana.
