"I'm having an old friend for dinner"

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this masterpiece of horror? Some of the most disturbing and unnerving psychological horror I have seen which is accompanied by great camera work, editing, and a score that will send chills down your spine. Anthony Hopkins kills it (literally sometimes) as Hannibal and whenever he spoke I just wanted to be silent and listen. He was mesmerizing in the scariest way imaginable.

One of my favorite lines from Hannibal in this film: "A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans, and a nice Chianti."

Also note how Hopkins literally does not blink (well maybe just once right before a cut) during any of his scenes. Especially during closeups where he seems to stare right into you, that really gets under your skin.
