Man that dog was shaggy! I thought this movie was so much fun but if I was a kid watching it, I think I would have loved it to death. I was in love with dog movies as a child and somehow, this one passed me by. I blame my parents. This movie has everything though. It has spies, a human that is a dog, that same dog that is a human, love, dancing, action, boats, car chases, a shaggy dog, a regular dog, a rocket that blasts a hole in a ceiling, a TURTLE, and epic betrayals of insane proportions.

The dog drives as well which is so funny!

What I love about this roughly 5 year span of Walt Disney’s work is that he would take a silly sitcom like premise that would attract the kids, but then add in other elements to make it more complex and attractive to older audiences. This is how he attracted so many respected actors who were known for dramatic roles. This complexity is what I miss about most Disney stuff today and it is sad that it was taken out in the remakes of these films that people younger than me grew up with.
