I also found both episodes good. I've never heard of a virus causing aphasia, but the actual disorder/s are real. In Wernicke's Aphasia, a person can speak with good grammar but their utterances are largely meaningless. It's interesting how real science might inspire sci-fi and, perhaps, vice versa. Both episodes show some of the moral complexity of DS9. Although we feel sympathy for the Bajorans. their virus has endangered people who are not their enemy. The relationship between Odo and Quark is, as usual, wonderful. And note that Kira, a former Bajoran resistance fighter, is willing to essentially infect an possible former ally with the virus to pressure him to find/discover a cure. I agree with Ollie, the relationship between Captain Sisko and his son is really sweet and positive. It must have been weird for the actor to essentially grow from child to adult within a long running TV show. And, yes, Ollie mistook Frank/Morn for another character. But I think that's very understandable for someone's early experiences of this series.
