STAR TREK AFTER THE MOVIES - Thoughts? (Patreon)

Hey everyone! So my run with the TNG Star Trek movies is nearing an end and I had some thoughts on how I would continue the series moving forward

1. I would love to watch episodes of TOS after the movies. Not the whole show but a good amount of episodes to get a feel for the show. 

2. I am definitely going to watch more TNG on the channel as I love that show. I am unsure if I will just watch random fan favourite episodes that I missed or just watch the whole series. I am leaning towards the whole series. That would be two episodes a week of TNG. It would take a long time to get through and I have seen some key moments, but I think it would be really fun and I know I would enjoy it!

3. Other Star Trek shows are on my radar as well. If I decide to watch all of TNG then these will have to wait until later. If I choose to watch only certain episodes of TNG then these will come sooner and I will update you all accordingly

4. The JJ Abrams movies! I have seen them (and I really enjoy them). Do I watch them for the channel or let them pass. Maybe a Patreon exclusive watch along that I can just randomly drop when I have the time?

This is like a general outline with some ideas tossed around so feel free to comment what you want and don't want to see as well as anything else you may want to add! I am open to all suggestions and will read through and take them all into account before deciding how to proceed with Trek on the channel.

I think you will really enjoy Star Trek: DS9 but before watching that show you should watch TNG episodes that are related to it. As DS9 is set on the Cardassia-Bajor issue, I think the following tng episodes would be neccesary to watch before the show: 4x12 "The Wounded" 5x03 "Ensign Ro" 7x20 "Journey's End" 7x25 "Preemptive Strike" Optional for me is "Chain of Command double lenght episode from 6th season). It´s a heay episode, a bit hard to watch that creates some context within the Cardassians but I would listen to other opinions. Of course there are other storylines that are related to TNG episodes but are out of the main theme of the series. If you watch complete TNG then you will be fully prepared to watch DS9. If you want something a bit shorter and still enjoyable, I think a quite extensive selection of Star Trek: Enterprise would also be great. And after watching First Contact you would enjoy it even better. And ofc TOS is worth the watch. It´s the real beginning and I recommend you to rewatch Star Trek: The motion picture after that one because that movie´s impact has a lot to do with the 10 years wait between TOS and the movies, and you will understand better why Kirk looks the Enterprise that way. TOS 3rd season is really bad. Honestly, I would just watch the Season 1 and 2 episodes listed by Roland Khorshidianzadeh, adding 1x18 "Arena" and 1x21 "The Return of the Archons" and maybe for curiosity 2x03 "The Changeling" because its story is similar to "Star Trek: The Motion Picture". 2x24 "The Ultimate Computer" and 2x15 "The Trouble With Tribbles" (this last one has an amazing tribute episode in DS9. And I agree on "Operation -- Annihilate!" as well.
