Your reaction to Billy's death was priceless! It is pretty much like you said: Most people watch this film for the next-level death sequences, from the ones that happen in just a fraction of a second to the ones with several minutes of elaborate build-up. From what I remember about the sequels, these are mostly more of same. Still, if watching this film was fun, then watching the sequels will likely be fun as well. Benny Ford is right: the actor in the morgue telling the characters about Death's design was Tony Todd, who was also Candyman.
