This is my all time favorite Star Trek movie, with "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" being a very close second. Everything about this movie was fantastic, especially the musical score, which is my favorite of all the movies, by James Horner. No other Star Trek villain could ever come close to Khan until "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's" Gul Dukat, played by Marc Alaimo. Fathom Events was showing this movie for it's 35th Anniversary in 2017 and are again for it's 40th Anniversary this month. I went to see it twice in 2017. It was amazing seeing it on the big screen.

Khan’s lines that sound like Shakespeare are from Moby Dick which was one of the books on Khan’s bookshelf. The kid that died is revealed to be Scotty’s relative in the Directors cut that’s why he seemed so upset. Notice all the things that gave you hope that Spock was still alive was in voiceover. This was a movie everyone came in spoiled so that’s why they had everyone pretended to die at the beginning to fool the audience to think that was the spoiler.
