I love how many uncommon film choices you make, such a good variety. Steve McQueen was known as the 'king of cool', and at this time one of the top box office draws. It's no wonder you were immediately impressed, and it's definitely worth checking out his other work. Also, if you're into amazing car chases (non-CGI), the one from The French Connection (1971) is often considered the absolute best.
