Wasn't really a fan of this movie even when it first came out, but if you do like this sorta thing, I'd HIGHLY recommend watching David Lynch films as he's the king of confusing surrealism and this director was obviously going for that. Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive are probably the most similar in Lynchs catalog outside of Twin Peaks (but that's a whole series and a bigger commitment), but his whole catalog is great.
