This was a great Halloween movie... Just a good story...and they made it so they can keep making more... I totally agree with all your criticisms.. the second half turned into more of a cheesy monster movie after building up a lot of suspense. And it would have been better if they "Blair Witched" him and showed just a shadow or wings or something instead of that costume. BTW... if you liked the suspense part from the beginning with the truck and are more into the human killer horror stuff that could really happen..... Definitely check out the 1971 movie "Duel". The first 30 min of this just kept making me think of Duel the entire time. It's a very highly rated old suspense movie and Spielberg's first ever Oscar win for director.

And how frustrating must it be for that demon thing to have to walk into the Dept. of Motor Vehicles every 23 years and re-register that license plate that says BEATNGU ...and the clerk probably always asks ..."Does that mean beating you or be eating you?" and he sighs and says "well, both really"
