I love this movie. It should have been nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture but back then there was only 5 slots as opposed to 10 today. The score was nominated for best original composition, though. By the way, you have seen Joan Allen (Betty) before. She played Sean Archer's wife, Eve, in Face/Off. You also might recognize the actress who played Margaret, "Bud's" girlfriend. She was Wendy Peffercorn in The Sandlot. Great cast all around for this movie.

Wait it was not even nominated for best picture what! It definitely deserved the nomination but I'm glad the score got recognized.
