You killed it on the lighting scheme 🔪 I found it more aesthetically pleasing to have all the visuals that I’m taking in are all B&W. I hope you do it with any other B&W films. The timing of it was perfection and masterfully executed. You had a great observation on Anthony Perkins going from kind to menacing in the same brushstroke and then tying in that’s the switch from Norman to not Norman. The last name Crane is also a type of bird. Along with bird paintings and stuffed birds it’s almost like Hitchcock wanted to let the audience know the next thing the should fear is The Birds. I hope you are considering Norman Bates as a Halloween costume.
