I love this movie, and I enjoyed your reaction! This is especially true considering your lack of knowledge of the backstory. As great a job as the writers did compacting the story, this is one of the more important stories in Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Baha'i religions; so, there are some comments that you made that would have been impossible for you to know without a bit of a backstory going in. The story aside, I agree that the music and animation was stunning and emotionally moving on its own. This was such a good movie to react to! Also- Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey on the song at the end, which also won Academy Award for original song 😉.
