Regarding 3 hr movies. Tarantino said one of his main influences was Sergio Leone. Leone had several 3 hr movies that you eventually should see. The good the bad and the ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West and Once Upon a Time in America. I know its a long investment in time for 3 hr movies but those were all fantastic films that you should eventually see.

Btw happy belated birthday. You're so young. I was 20 when Rambo First Blood and Conan the Barbarian came out. The 80s was a great time for movies but there was no cable no vcrs no dvd we had to catch them at the theaters.

Some of those movies are on my list already! I don't have a problem with 3 hour movies some of my favourite movies are 3 hours + I just need to make sure I have the time for them because both watching them and editing them is time consuming
