Definitely should have been subtitles on all the Japanese. You definitely want that sorted for the next one, although the language in that one will be Cantonese. (That may even be true even if you speak Cantonese, as apparently what is spoken does not align with what you will see on screen... I'm not sure why. Maybe the script changed but they saved on ADR knowing their primary audience wouldn't know the difference?)

Really strange about subtitles. I don't like subtitles on for reactors on english language films as they look down and read them even though they know what is being said. Actually I would do the same thing as it is hard not to but with that being said when subtitles are off and there are moments of a different language being spoken then there should be subtitles for just that. My version I watch on YouTube does show the english subtitles when Japanese is spoken but only that and it is weird that that is not the norm. Imagine watching Dune and when Fremen is spoken there are no subtitles... yikes!
