Two more fantastic Season 4 episodes today! Will Season 4 ever let its foot off the gas??

Starship down had a cool name so I was excited for it! It was an episode that managed to cover almost all the bases in terms of characters and small story arcs. We had a Quark centric arc about his trade in the Gamma Quadrant and how he was cheating the Gamma Quadrant version of Ferengi out of deals. Loved how Quark had to slowly convince the guy to trust him again and the whole disarming a bomb situation they had to go through was stressful and funny. It really hit home Quarks argument as well that Profit is only fun when it is like gambling and I loved to see him get an even better deal coming out if it. Bashir and Dax had some great moments together as well reminiscing about (mostly) past Bashir and how in love he was with Dax. Bashir also went full hero mode and saved Dax from some gas after the Jem'Hadar attacked (so cool) and that was pretty awesome of him. Sisko and Kira shared a lot of scenes as well. After the attack, Sisko is left mostly unconscious and Kira is tasked with keeping him awake. This was definitely the emotional core of the episode and Kira's struggle to keep him awake through stories and prayers was tough to watch and very sad. She also opened up to Sisko a lot more and not only discussed him being the Emissary and how it effects her, but also how they are only really work friends and not friends friends. Safe to say, Sisko inviting her to the baseball game at the end is hopefully the start of a new friendship outside of work. Finally, my favourite part of the episode was Worf and him learning to be more relaxed in command. It was cool watching him go from so uptight to listening to O'Briens advice and becoming much more relaxed. It was also awesome to see some other engineers take action! Besides all this, the episode also had really cool visuals and some very awesome explosions!!!!

Little Green Men was such a fun and creative episode! I was not expecting a time travel episode, especially with Quark, Rom, and Nog at the helm but here we are. The first part of the episode was super sweet as Nog is leaving for Starfleet academy and Rom, in keeping with Ferengi tradition, is selling Nog's possessions. Not only that, but Nog and Jake have a small moment of solace before they have to say goodbye and it gave me so many chills. I will miss their hangouts and I hope to see Nog back soon!! But then the time travel happens and wow! Roswell New Mexico, 1947 babyyyyyyyyy. One of the great conspiracies and it turns out Quark, Rom, and Nog were at the centre of it all! It is always so cool seeing Star Trek go back in time and this was no different. Loved the translation issues and hearing what the Ferengi language actually sounds like as well as what english sounds like for Ferengi. It provided for some really funny moments that made me laugh a lot. Obviously, once Quark starts being able to talk again, he immediately tries to make some form of business deal with the "Australians". But what I loved is that the government did not believe him (which I mean I guess they were right because he was lying). Even still, I loved how the government basically embodied the mindset of a conspiracy theorist. No matter what Quark, Rom, or Nog said, they only wanted to believe one thing and that was that the Ferengi were here for war. A really fun episode with cool concepts, costumes, and general fun times! Good luck Nog at Starfleet!!!

Sarcastic Star Trek

"Will Season 4 ever let its foot off the gas??" Episode 21 - The Muse is a bit iffy.

Hello Ollie, in case you did not recognize him: The Karemma, trapped with Quark in "Starship Down" is played by James Cromwell again - who also starred as Zefram Cochrane in "Star Trek - First Contact." The guy really gets around. Moreover, I love the scene with the refund... :D Another nice little detail in "Little Green Men": Worf does not think highly of the Ferengi - but when he tests Nog's tooth sharpener, he is all in!
