I honestly don't have too much to say on this movie which is funny because the movie tries to say a lot about one particular subject its whole runtime. The movie is about the issue of visas and how they cater to people of wealth and privilege while those who live in poverty have little opportunity to leave their homes in search of a better life. The good of this film was SRK as the leas as always who had the charm and pizzas as well as the emotions to help guide us through the film. Taapsee Pannu was probably the biggest stand out though as everything in the film rode on her character Manu. She was excellent as a woman desperate to get to London in order to give herself and her family a better life. The music was pretty good overall and the dance sequences were fun and laid back. The ending was also amazing and really cemented the films message well. While the message itself is not an issue and I actually respect the film for speaking about it, it is how the film goes about discussing the message that I had an issue with. It just feels a lot of the time that the movie is forcing the message down your throat with scene after scene of the same thing "characters are poor, can't get visa, struggle". I know this is a real world issue but there is a montage of photos at the end of the film of real immigrants crossing boarders illegally and those photos relayed, in a much more powerful way, the struggles these people face in 25 seconds then the whole movie did in almost 3 hours. Again, I think the message is great to talk about but the movie talked about the struggle without showing me too much of it.
