I think you looked away during the scene with sakayanagi. When the upcoming Chairman kicked out her cane Ayanokoji tried to catch her before she fell. That’s when the chairman grabbed ayanokoji and pinned him. I’m sure she will remember Koji’s attempt, as well as the chairman’s actions. The last test the most positive votes per class gets a Protection Point. In class B Ichinose’s right hand man took the fall and she used 20 million private points to stop his expulsion. She still got most positive and the protection point. In this new test the captains can give assistance in all subjects, but can’t participate directly. Sakayanagi made the rules for chess so that the players in the game make moves as directed by their class captain. This means she and ayanokoji can direct each move and compete that way.
