Yeah, it's hard to get a clear read on Alastor, which is what I love about him as a character (apart from the menacing evil smile and radio voice and his whole shtick). More and more it seems like he legit cares about the Hotel. In the pilot, he basically says he's just in it for the entertainment, but we really have no idea wtf he's after or wants. He's truly an enigma. I actually have a theory I developed after this episode. Charlie mentioned her parents split. And both Alastor and Lilith have been gone around the same time, I think. Alastor has insane beef with Lucifer right out the gate, and Alastor just naturally irks Lucifer so hard. What if....... Lilith and Alastor had a secret relationship or something? Lowkey got "Lol I banged your ex-wife" vibes from Alastor during that first song. Maybe I'm trippin with this, but it would be a funny and crazy twist.
