Based on the 2 supervisors' etc comments, the numbers AREN'T service numbers, but some type of compatibility scores, hence why Goro, Ichigo & Hiro are so idolized, because they are in the double digits (and relatively close to the single digits zone, since they are in the double digits of the 10 group, not 20 or higher. I mean Zorome & some others do mention how amazing they are for being in the double digits, and we can presume that since they are the same age, yet Zorome is 666, that they are same age & all that), so we can presume the lower your score is, the more OP you will be when it comes to using Franxx or w/e. I mean you can see how OP Zero Two is as Code 002. Even during Hiro & Naomi's trial at using a Franxx, they kept talking about how their scores kept "fluctuating", and eventually they couldn't stabilize enough to operate the Franxx. Also did you notice that the hairband thingie started to flash that light on it when Ichigo bitchslapped Zero Two? Her horns & eyes only got the red glow once it got bitchslapped off her, which I presume to be a type of suppressor since she's a Human-Klaxosaur hybrid as mentioned a few episodes ago. I thought it was a battery indicator due to the light thingie, but I don't see how it could be if it starts to flicker despite only being yeeted off her, since that shouldn't affect a battery/power source whatsoever. Now that I mentioned this, I do actually recall in episode 1 or w/e that it did blink green when she clicked it on her horns after the swimming, so I assume the blinking yellow color means it's disengaged or something?

Ichigo wasn't pissed because 02 is reckless. But because she is worried about Hiro. But when Ichigo said that Hiro could die if 02 doesn't go easy on Hiro, 02 said "Sure, he could. But that'd just mean he didn't amount to much." Which very much sounds like 02 doesn't care about Hiro whatsoever. And that's why Ichigo is pissed about 02 and slapped her.
