Van is technically 100% correct tho, at least as far as Demis is concerned. We can quite clearly see from the way the world etc is designed, none of what he has said & done has contradicted the obvious way the world has been designed by Demis, no? Wrongdoer Blessing quite obviously only exist to be struck down by other Blessings as XP fodder, just like Monsters & Demons etc do. Based on the Hero Administration Authority facilities from S1 climax, as well as the iconography of THE religious organization we have seen so far, we can presume Demis is some type of a super computer-AI thingie, since the organization's symbol is clearly the On-Off button symbol (the I connecting through the top half of the O). Hell it was even easier to see in that chapel at the start of S2 than it is on that golden amulet thingie. Honestly it even checks out how mechanical the world feels on all its levels by design as well. I could totally see a population control AI going to logical end-game goals where it's fodderized a ton of people to keep the killings going, even generating a Demon Lord & Hero perpetually (based on Ruti not being the first nor the last hero, and there being different Demon Lords & political factions among Demons, they must be a cyclical thingie) just to keep the XP grind going to keep the global population amounts below X threshold. Wouldn't be the first series w/ a setting like that going on where the entire world by design is a means of population control in its current state
