pretty sure you got the right idea for Yayoi's explanation on how they're gonna redirect kyoto's curse to the god From what I understood: -They use the graduates and form a circle or whatever around Kyoto and use Oiran and Martyr to weaken the god -With all the graduates stationed there its going to create a curse on kyoto -they make a voodoo doll to take the hit of the curse and reflect it to the god

Season 2 is about to be hype. The Kyoto stuff isn't done yet in the manga but so far it's been really good and just gets more and more interesting.
