I think that Lizbeth's flashback has further established her selfish motivation. The show displayed a collection of parallel behaviors between Adam and Philomela in their respective childhood scenes. Lizbeth ignored Adam's feeling because of birthing a liability, and she ignored Philomela because of the dissatisfaction of losing that liability and not wanting a substitute, even though it would've probably meant just getting another manipulatable offspring for her.

I was also totally looking at the background. 2:45 AYO😳🤨 11:00 Though the flashback did seem to show a hint of a hint of motherly emotions, we all know that grandma's a b*tch. The only character this season I hate more than that Grandma is Mahito from JJK, and even then it's a pretty close call. I hope that Grandma dies, and while I'm sad we couldn't get it to happen in this episode, hopefully, it'll happen in the next one. (Idk if Grandma dies, but I hope so) That god seemed pretty dang weak... I'm scared for next week, but also super hyped!
