You didn't recognize who the VA is for John Smith? Lelouch VA - Fukuyama Jun @FreshestAnime

I think anything that has Japanese soundalike names in this series is related to the Shadow Garden because of Cid's exposure of his origin toward the shades, so something like Mitsugoshi is a part of the Shadow Garden.

To explain shortly: - Cid planned to just counterfeit money and use said fake money - The fox lady then poked a whole in his plan and then went on to come up with a better one - Thank better plan being bankrupting the mitsugoshi company Quick explainer of how banks work. A bunch of people use a bank to store money. The bank then can go and use that money and loan it out and thus get profit via the interest. In this case the mitsugoshi bank also provides paper money, so that their customers can use their actual money (gold coins) without actually needing to get it every time. They are equivalent placeholders, with no inherent real value, just an assigned one. This part nowadays is usually done by national banks not commercial ones, but if I'm not mistaken, when banks first started popping up, the commercial ones also used to print paper money. It just got centralized over time. Now what will happen if you flood the market with fake money, people notice this, loose faith in paper money and hurry up to retrieve the goods of actual value held within the bank? Since there is now more money than the bank originally issued, the gold in the bank will run out before all of the bills get exchanged. This will effectively collapse the entire system and destroy mitsugoshi, as the bank also holds the funds generated by their other businesses. There are other aspects as well, but I tried to be as simple as I could.
