Ok so some lore here this anime takes place in a different universe than the Fate series you have watch so far. This version of Shiro was brought up by the Kotomine family instead of Emiya so expect him to be very much like Kirei. Also in the Fate universe Saber (King Arthur) never gave birth to Mordred that was her/his wife Guinevere, Merlin basically casted a spell to give Saber a penis so she/he could conseve a child with Guinevere which was Mordred. So thats why Mordred calls Saber Arthur Father so she/he was speaking more about Guinevere when they said mother
