Wow great 4 episode start to an amazing series. Can't wait to see more. Manga is great. It's beautifully drawn and similar to the Anime has amazing montage panels that make it feel like time is passing while world building. Anime is doing a great job capturing it. We just wrapped the first book in the anime which is great for a day one release.

From the first 4 episodes so far, the "time skips" are really thoughtfully done, with corresponding montages that highlight some of the important and fun bits. The show doesn't really have much action shown yet, but the animation is still on-point. It's crazy how I'm enjoying it so much, even though we've only been shown mostly flashbacks of Frieren's life adventuring. Giving this show my best anime pick of the season as a placeholder. Can't wait to see other shows this season has to offer to see if anything else can manage to top this.

I assume there's like maybe a dozen or w/e Elves globally. After all, if you live for potentially tens of thousands of years or w/e, why would you bother w/ fucking? Especially since I bet they have low af fertility rates anyway as is tradition

So 1-100th at ~1000yrs old so ~1% of her life was with the group. And assuming general Elven lifespans can range from 2-on the high end 10k years their time together is just a blip. Kind of like passing a stranger and having a conversation for a human. Or say we 100yr old on average. That would only be a year spent by percentage not a long time in the grand scheme
