i think this was the best episode of season 2 so far, it was so much fun

Cant wait for another Twitter meltdown about this episode lmao

LN context about the fight! No spoilers. Pursena was about to use "voice magic", the one that paralyzes the target, Gyes used it against Rudy when he first meets him and think he is fondling the Sacred beast while being aroused. Rudy originally wanted to use Disturb Magic on her, but since he wasn't really 100% sure how voice magic works, he just decided to blow some dust into her face so she can't speak/scream.

i need that , the mushoku fandom is fucking toxic xD it's always funny seeing them defend some degenerate behavior of the fans.

Rudeus Greyrat

you probably didn't catch but sylphie was basically saying that all the science behind magic that is taught in the school she already knew from the 2 years she spent with rudy and the way they teach the science is poorly explained and rudy explained things in a better way. like how to make steam etc..

By the way, it's another two cour season. Its 25 episodes in total for season 2, with the 2nd cour scheduled for April next year.

From what I remember it was said that the boreas(eris) branch of greyrats love beastfolk, that will come into play when it comes to eris too, from what I have heard. and later it will be said that the notos branch love big boobs. and I think there are like 4-5 branches, not sure, it was mentioned in the first season though. so my theory, the greyrats are just a bunch of degenerates, that had a schism a few generations ago regarding what their favorite fetish is. just anime things I guess

Mushoku fandom isn’t toxic lol its the people who always attack the show for no reason, people defend the show because they know its fuckin fiction xD

Taylor Moon

I’m caught up on the manga but don’t remember much at this point in the manga, it’s absolutely hilarious this is the episode people are complaining about saying they’d drop the show xD Literally just a hilarious episode, if you can find controversy here you just aren’t meant to watch anime lol

I think the best way to look at the beast girls and Rudy is that Rudy, since he dominated them in battle is now the pack leader. Its sort of how Beastpeople culture works.

Jake Smith

to me, Rudy isn't dum but instead broken and sometimes gets pulled along by a situation or his mind ignores reality (part of him being broken and naive) which isn't dum but is normal for most people. Except for the fact he's scum...

Shane x Masters

The old openings were always used to show off a new place or explore more of the current area because they’re at the school there isn’t much to show after several episodes so it makes sense

Taylor Moon

Also yeah I'm pretty sure homie was saying he mighta gotten some sussy time with fitz.. almost fully accepting his gay love for him.. It's just funny cuz ya know, it's actually Sylphie with shades on. Sorry for the spoilers!

Was laughing so hard at Zanoba's hyperventilating. They made Julie even cuter in the anime like the head pat scene

I wouldn't say Rudy is dumb. I would say he is rather perceptive for the most part. He is just passive and tries to avoid confrontation when possible. The reason he didn't realize he could fix the figurine is because he was in a blind fury. He would never show off the holy relic to a bunch of people normally for example.

Aco2Draco

I wouldn't say Rudy is dumb. Just Broken.

I think the whole "no turning back" comment towards the end was just implying that, if he would have had a "reaction" after removing Fitz's glasses, then he basically confirms his suspicions of either being gay or bi. Of course, the irony of all this is that we, as viewers, know that's actually not the case... lol

I wouldn’t call Rudy “stupid”. I think a better way to describe his character is by saying that he has “a habit of letting his emotions see things through tunnel vision”. He sees the broken figurine and his first thought is “Zanoba broke it; I must punish him.” Then, after learning what actually happened, it becomes “Those beast-girls did it; I must punish them.” In other words, his emotions immediately propelled him down this tunnel of “Someone needs punished for this.” But, if he’d been a bit calmer, and looked at things more rationally (like you said), he would’ve very quickly realized that the doll was easily fixable, and those girls probably would’ve just got a slap on the wrist. Rudy isn’t stupid. He’s actually quite intelligent, and as we’ve seen, is usually more level-headed. This is especially noticeable when he’s off adventuring because having traveled the demon continent, he truly knows what death-defying danger is like. He takes adventuring very seriously (not counting his depression arc ofc) in that sense. So clearly, he isn’t stupid. It’s just when he finds himself in these more prolonged, relaxed scenarios that he seems to kind of lets things go a little bit - understandably! After 3 years of fighting for his life, ofc he wants to relax and just not think about stuff anymore. Anyone would feel that way, imo. Personally, I think we just gotta cut Rudy a little slack when things are calmer. But maybe that’s just me.

4 branches, each named after one of the Anemoi (collective name for the 4 Cardinal Winds)
