The Pace was fine and dealing with that thing felt stressful and very personal. VERY HIGH STAKES, your capping man. This was my favorite episode and the first one where I'm hooked instead of just intrigued. I also like his "refusal of the call" where he is in conflict of whether to dive further in the occult and how Eiko has those conflicting desires of love of scary stuff and our boy and how she tries to reconcile them, makes you wonder if that'll come to a head where she has to choose between her self-ish desires and his own safety.

Welp... here I thought that Eiko scene on the first episode was just a one off... now I can definitely say she's giving off a lot of yandere vibes. I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce another girl, in the next few episodes, and Eiko starts acting up with her crazy obsessiveness.
