I only noticed when I watched it by myself but the opening actually had different scenes than the last version. It looks like instead of a singular version of the opening it's going to feature the most important/cool scenes from the previous episode.

yeah but it also has certain elements that carry over across every episode and I just find those elements to be average, specifically the one thing that irks me is the long shot of yellow that gets splattered with zombies running by.

I agree with what you say Joe about quitting and such. I’m married to a Japanese woman and I’ve had a lot of talks about this work culture thing with both my wife and my father-in-law. The difficult thing with quitting and changing jobs constantly is that there are huge social ramifications within that industry if you do so. Unlike the west, most Japanese workplaces views people who change jobs often as disloyal, not team-oriented, lacks patience, and is uncooperative. On top of this, depending on the industry, leaving the company on bad terms can result in negative rumours about you that practically disables you from getting another job in that same industry. Whenever I asked my wife “why don’t they just quit?”, she explained that it’s not so simple to put into words and sometimes even requires you hiring a lawyer to formalize the quitting of a job. It’s really fucked up and not something somebody from the west can just take-in and accept. I’m still having trouble understanding their line of thinking even now.

The star Shou is voiced by Mamoru Miyano. He has also voiced for Osamu Dazai in Bungo Stray Dogs. Mamoru is often casted for handsome characters not just in the anime, but in the Japanese TV series as well.

^This. Also have a Japanese wife and she said the same thing. There are many people who once they get into a company, they stay with that company, or at least the same line of work, for their entire lives. Just a much different workplace culture than the US at least.
