A lot of people like to hate on this show , because of how cliché it is and how the manga goes down and stuff... but I mean it's not a modern piece so maybe now with so many stories like this it may seem too cliché.. Nonetheless I really enjoyed it back then , maybe the nostalgia is a big part of it .. eh idc lol

I really like is how abstract and weird the environment can get around the characters, and the “Shaft” aesthetic of making every dialogue as dramatic as possible with all the extra animation. They also do this with the monogatari series, which was directed by the same guy
