Some clarifications: In the first episode the three people Irisu is talking to is: 1. Hongo on the cellphone. 2. Oreki's Sister is the Senpai, and she is the third person besides Chitanda and Smoking Senpai to tell Irisu about Oreki's ability of deduction, and she gives Irisu tips on how to manipulate Oreki and "dance for her" if you go back to episode 1, Irisu is speaking in such a way to hook Oreki like saying it would be more "efficient" to show them the film, and asking they act as observers. She had been playing the whole classics Club but especially Oreki like a fiddle the entire time. 3. Third Person is Chitanda. Also if you remember that in the second episode of this Arc Chitanda says she doesn't like mysteries the reason why is she doesn't like stories about characters dying. Oreki is upset with Irisu for a reason that has to do with his past, and why he took on his "energy conservation motto" lets say being used by her and him when he decides to entertain the idea he is special and has that blow up in his face was a huge blow to him, He also felt like he was dishonest with himself and he erased Hongo's existence and upsurped her vision. At the end the two people talking to Irisu were Hongo again, and Oreki's Sister Tomoe again. BTW the OVA comes right after 11 and shows how Oreki gets his confidence in his deduction ability back. I'd recommend checking it out.

Oreki was upset, that he didn't see the REAL mystery about Hongo and was more focused on the script, since you are saying you don't blame him.

You didn't react to the new ED.... Anyway some points: Oreki WANTED to sit at the store, he's not interested in the festival, its too busy and its a waste of energy. Koichi Senpai Mayaka talked to is cosplaying as Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown, throughout the episodes she cosplays as Fighting game characters. Mayaka cosplays as old classic Manga characters, this on is Frol from They Were Eleven which was basically Among Us. The Other basic bitches are cosplaying as Vocaloids. There is a LOT of set-up going on in the first episode, including some things you might think are unimportant, for the rest of the arc. This is my favorite Cultural Festival Arc in all of anime.

Also on the Tarot cards.....If you remember in episode 1 of the movie arc, Chitanda called Oreki The Star even though Satoshi called him Strength (And yes he was calling Oreki a simp) The Star means insight, clarity, guidance, a sudden flash of brilliance. Basically Chitanda sees Oreki as this mysterious and brilliant figure that can sped light on answers she couldn't dream of thinking of. Also Chitanda didn't want to ask Oreki about Hongo's original ending because she was trying to be considerate of him, but he wanted her to ask, because he wanted to in some way make up for his mistake. He missed Chitanda's "annoying" habit.
