There are so many Naruto references it's funny. When Yachiru consumes a liquid she could use water based ninjutsu. When they do ninpo their bodies produces the element unless they don't have an affinity for it. That is my theory on their ninjutsu anyway.

The nips wern't there because it's a show be aired on tv therefore they probably cant show that for some reason. Jujutsu kaisen also dosen't show nips an example being Todo. maybe they will add it in for the blue ray realse as there are sometimes changes made between when its aired and dvd realse. Also the nips are in the manga.

i think it was more remembering his instincts to kill because he said that maybe it was from being relaxed with an unsettled face maybe triggering that first time he felt the overwhelming emotion of feeling like he can belong somewhere and be happy almost out of his own natural killing mentality that he seems to hold so close with the words of the chief. reminds me of when Sagiri first called him out for still having feelings left for his wife he got mad and felt like he didn't deserve that life and that he was only hallow
