Alice doesn't really want to be Renfreds lover, she stated it in season 1 as well, but she wants to protect him with her life, literally be his bodyguard until she loses her life

Alice's frustration is not being strong enough to be a bodyguard so Renfred will never see her as an equal, always as someone who needs protecting which is antithetical to her being his protector. Also you might just be too coomer brained LOL, when she said "sleeping together", she meant it literally, like sleeping in the same bed (we saw it a bunch in season 1).

I think that you could make a comparison between Chise and Alice, how Chise lost her happy childhood because of her nature of being a Sleigh Beggy, but she got to become stronger while accompanying with someone she cares about, after going through multiple hardships herself; whereas how Alice strayed away from her tragic childhood because of her talent in sorcery, but she got to witness someone she cares about getting hurt a lot without achieving what she wanted, since she wasn't able to grow when she was pushed away from the threats almost all the time.

I appreciate you trying to read into the dialogue but it’s best left at face value for this one😂😂 Chise and Elias don’t be fuckin and Alice just wants to become strong and protect the man who stepped in as her father figure. So rest assured this episode is far more wholesome than you think😂

Chise and Elias "sleeping together" just meant it in a literal sense... not the other thing. Considering how Elias isn't even mature enough to grasp emotions and relationships, I doubt any shenanigans are happening when they're sleeping in the same room. Plus, I'd imagine that, like in the 1st season, there are still instances where Elias needs to lock himself inside his room when he loses control and reverts to his monstrous form... after all they've been through and even having that ceremonial "marriage", he'd feel more at ease when she's around.
