The animation quality definitely got an upgrade compared to season 1, as it should... I'd have been worried if the quality didn't change considering the last season came out almost 6 years ago. Also, Chise being in junior high school makes me think one of two things: either they're using British standards in their education system (not super familiar with it, personally) or maybe her grade won't really match her age anymore, considering she may have had issues with school life while dealing with her unique situation (probably held back a year or two).

Your camera only went out of focus when you switched from reacting to your post-episode comments. Like you, I am eager to see what happens. For a Season 2 with this long of a gap, they really kept the art style perfectly.

Or maybe it is just because it is a magic school, not a regular school. So what grade you come in depends on your magic knowledge rather than age?
