Man... I'm gonna say it again... I wished we got this kind of last episode treatment for Angel Next Door. Seeing how the relationship dynamic changes once both parties have acknowledged each other's feelings, among other things. Though, I wouldn't be opposed if they decided to do that in a 2nd season as well.

I think that A.N.D. had its shot and missed. I think it also didnt have as much room to fail in that aspect since unlike Tomo chan, it didnt have comedy as another focus. But oh well, at least this one was quite enjoyable, the pacing just felt right. I guess its the fact that I judge most romance with Horimiya as the base line, that makes me quite critical of most rom shows.

To be fair, I think both shows had a bit of a different approach to romance. As you mentioned, this show has the comedy aspect whereas A.N.D doesn't have much comedy... it focuses more on just the steady, albeit snail-pace, relationship between both MCs. If I were to make an analogy with food: Tomo has more flavor and spices, which round out your overall experience and leave you full after the meal is over. A.N.D. is basically just diabetes, injecting pure sugar straight to your veins... and we all know what comes after that sugar rush high... you get that crash (in this case, the "crash" is the somewhat lackluster ending of the show).

cant say specific details abt angel next door cuz if joe sees itll spoil for him but it needs a s2 to show of the juicy stuff (cuz trust me after they start going out they hehehehe yeah juicy stuff). id say the only two shows that were abt romance that let us all down were nagatoro and ice guy those 2 shows were no real progression just a hug and "hey nice to meet you for an entire year" all the other romance shows had comedy/romance/confession/kiss/marrige/babies now we just wait to see if they get another season

I definitely agree that A.N.D isn't necessarily "bad"... it's just the way it ended, especially with the crazy highs we had during the first half of the final episode, kind of felt meh. If there is still enough source material to adapt for a 2nd season, no doubt it will cure that itch we all have for a proper, more well rounded ending. However, just doing a direct comparison between A.N.D. and this show, I still rate this higher for now. Will definitely keep an eye out if or when they decide to announce a season 2.

I'm only basing my opinions on what we have so far. I'm well aware that A.N.D.'s source material has more to offer. But it's not uncommon for animes to do just a one-off season and force viewers to buy the manga/LN if they want to continue the story. So unless you can cite credible sources that a season 2 is definitely planned, I'm good with keeping my tits chaotic, thank you very much 🤣

yup thats the end the creator of tomo ended the mange after jun beat tomos dad and they kissed. wich is a waste cuz he could of made so many more moments before and even after they date

Tomo in her milf attire is absolutely to die for. Probably the closest to a 10 out of 10 romcom I’ve seen in a very long time

I’m personally super fine with this solid start and it has a solid finish which means the author can’t fuck up later on by stretching it out too much or coming up with a worse ending

I would love at least an OVA (mini-series?) with the following: - Tomo and Jun being a cute official couple, just a good solid look at their new daily life, with dates and kisses and cute moments - More cuteness with Carol and Kousuke. - Focus on the development of Misuzu x Tatsumi - MAYBE a time-skip to college
