I was thinking that this arc would serve as this season's finale, yet it appeared that the studio made some adjustments in order to spare one episode for a finale which is a little different from the ending of this arc. The relationship between Iwanaga and Kuro is a developing story. As for the current arc, this event is a warning sign for Kuro regarding to Iwanaga's ruthless divinity, since Rikka and Kuro are both the disruptors of the order created with something outside of the human realm. Iwanaga stated in EP8 that it might be fine to ignore certain entity making minor disturbance, but the potential subsequent effects might cause bigger trouble from/for other human. Iwanaga will use everything that she has in order to maintain the balance between human and yokai not to be disturbed, and it is up to Kuro to decide what to do with his disruptive abilities.
