11:37 Shadow used Aurora's (Witch/Diabolos from previous arc) move. I want to talk a little about Iris. She's very prideful person, prideful so much that it became arrogance. Why is she so angry with Shadow? Because she thinks he "destroyed" school? Because he's "masked" vigilante in her country? Maybe at first yes but now, nooo I see arrogance, I see that she thinks that she's the strongest person, that there are no one on the higher level and !SHE! must do everything to "save" her country from any enemy. I like how in the previous episode even father told her smth like: "Do you want so much to prove yourself to everyone that you might put the whole country in jeopardy?" I have no respect for her. If she handled herself like Beatrix did, I would have thought of her more highly. She was crying not because she couldn't save city but because Shadow beat her... (I saw it like that) 19:13 I like how he just changed weather and left lol. 20:18 Sherry's scene was anime original. 20:39 Dio's VA and Aizen's VA are plotting something. It's pretty scary)) 24:50 If you want to learn a bit more about Mist Dragon play a Shadow Garden game on IOS/Android or watch some story videos from there. It has events that are not in the anime and are not so detailed in LN, kinda original material. *Yes, you are right there will be some announcement on Feb 22 (Wed), so Hoping for Season 2.

If you want to know what I think about this anime let me tell you this : Rose is the type of character I usually hate with passion on multiple level.. For one she's (supposed to be , based on the first episode we see her in when she subdued Claire) the annoying student council pres., the uptight nerd who's charms supposed to be "look she scolded/hit the MC for doing something stupid" etc. BUT they take her out of this cliché almost immediately The second reason would be how they then step on the tragic route with her .. BUT they did it so carefully and not in your face like "look at her how much she's suffering PITY HER" instead you only realize how sad her entire life is when you think about it and at the end where the ONLY good thing in her life , her love for Cid the wrapper that reminds her of him... they take away the only thing that was keeping her sane and that made me tear up So yeah , this anime made me really like a type of character I thought I would never lmao

You can see rose in her Number 666 outfit in episode one. She can be seen with 664 and 665. I also love how Shadow pulled a Saitama by clearing all storm clouds away with in a single instant. like when Saitama one punched the king of the sea season 1.

The actual adaptation ended when Rose lost everything ... everything after that (as well as Sherry's scene since they gotta put a line in the script for all the characters that ever appeared) was anime only stuff ... and since they ended it with Cid saying "next time" there's a high implication that season 2 is already in production ... also if you look at the credits at the end the slot where it supposed to say Rose Oriana is now replaced by 666

The anime deviates from the source material in many ways for this episode. And tbh I don't like it. The fight was changed (most of it is anime original), which is fine but what I don't like is the change in attitude from both Cid and Iris and that they left out some (imo important) pieces of dialog. I'd be interested in your view on these differences should you decide on reading the novels soon.

Cid builds up that huge magical charge, drops the "I am Atomic" uses it to just blow away the storm, does no damage to the city. That mad, "who are you to think you can stand up to me," flex.

So as I was re-watching the series for fun, and I noticed something interesting. In Episode 11, they mentioned that Olivier had received the blessing of the Goddess Beatrix. So at this point i have to assume that Beatrix isn't just called a Goddess but is quite literally one. To which of course our boy easily over powered her. So I'm curious as to the relation between heroes and gods.

It could just be that the modern day war goddess Beatrix was named for the Goddess Beatrix too. I feel like in the light novels someone else was named after a god or goddess, but it's been too long since I read them to be sure.

2023-04-26 11:13:49 I guess Beatrix is like 2nd or 3rd gen after Olivier (since we know that the 3 Heroes, all of whom are females, did reproduce (because the cult rly wanted a continuous supply of Diabolos cell contaminated test samples that also undergo RNG via natural breeding of new gene sets to the contaminated ones originating from the 3 Heroes, I assume their end goal is they want the PERFECTED immortality that Diabolos/Aurora has, without having to consume those Beads of Diabolos yearly to maintain their immortality, hence why they prolly hope to get a new RNG DNA sequence from these descendants, since I assume Aurora was just naturally born like that & the cult found her at some point, since if she's an artificial entity, it'd make no sense why the cult couldn't already make themselves have the same immortality Aurora has by default), and I suppose it's from half a millennium to millennium ago timeline wise), which I suppose could make sense since Alpha would this be 4th gen and still well within looking like Olivier does, just like Beatrix herself does (and presumably her little sister too)

They didn't explore much of her character but the thing about Iris is that she never really lost. She has always been a prodigy, was put on a pedestal from a young age, and always succeeded. She was raised and praised as the strongest in the kingdom, forced to be a symbol for that kingdom, and the very few things she wanted to accomplish outside of that were denied by her conservative/cowardly father because of political reasons. The reason she is so desperate and in denial when in comes to Shadow is that it's not only her first crushing defeat, but it also completely negates who she was as a person. The only thing she was ever allowed to be was the perfect knight, THE Iris Midgar, the strongest knight in the kingdom and one of the strongest person in the world, but Alpha and then Shadow completely shattered that. Given the full context, while you obviously don't have to like the character and agree with her, her way of thinking and her reactions is still understandable.
