This show actually has great and realistic pacing, and I love it! We're only half way through the series and the 2 MCs are already starting to realize their feelings for one another. Now it's just a matter of who makes the first move and how things will turn out.

As a LN reader. The anime is following the plot point well. As usual, a lot of additional context is cut; but they left enough. We are solid into vol. 2. MC is noticing Mahiru’s hints, but convincing self they can’t be true, due to their convo upon the start. He is also holding self back due to that, “can’t be too familiar, she hates that, and will jet on me.” Not displayed well, he has a series self image issue. Soon, we get to vol 3, as I call in “the hintining.” Mahiru will be turning the heat up:
