This series I actually liked more than I initially thought. Nothing over the top, and I loved that the entire group has trust issues and the show would just be them trying to help each other overcome those issues. Also, am I crazy in thinking the facial features and animation style kind of reminds me Code Geass? Of course, their body proportions aren't as crazy as what CLAMP normally does, but the way their eyes and facial expressions look like are so similar to CLAMP's style.

The Church higher ups believed it, cuz he was so young &amp; ALREADY getting promoted to High Priest, so some of em (prolly local higher ups or w/e) decided to "believe" her story, just to get him fucked so his youngass mans can't get such a high ranking position when they were likely 1-2 decades older than him when they got that same position or w/e. I also assume some other priests might have been pedo af in the past, hence why the villagers were instantly willing to believe her cap

In the LN she overhears local higher ups talking about Zam and how they want to put a stop to him/his promotion. She then walks up to them and says something along the lines of "you might be interested in what i have to say". Then it cuts to the next scene, him healing local people like in the anime So she framed him with the help of the higher ups(or at least the corrupt ones). I remember that there were some who didn't believe it at first and because of his deeds and good looks he was well liked by the common people. However the people arresting him were threating them, so they backed down fast. But as they said in the anime they locked him up and let him starve, get dirt, ect. So when he finally gets expelled the people have heard for months one side of a narrative and see only a dirty, beat up, pedo at that point.
