K-on! was the first show directed by Naoko Yamada. She is famous for "leg shots", because she thinks you express your emotions through your legs. If you see a shot on characters legs in a KyoAni show it is most likely influenced/made by her. Also the VA for Mio (Yoko Hikasa) sings the very first AoT Ending.
