It's strongly implied that Matthew was put under some form of controlling magic in the manga, the anime doesn't convey it as well.

I love that Titania added that the foreign god supposedly condemned the fruit of paradise as evil, which is a reference to Adam and Eve.

The issue in the anime is that Joseph said he gave Matthew a bit of "blind faith", in the manga it is far more strongly implied that he brainwashed Matthew to become a cat killer

Titania is very ample due to the time of the year, that being spring when everything is in growth and renewal etc

Chise's surname Hatori is written as "羽鳥" in kanji, and "羽“ means feather while "鳥" means bird. That's how Oberon talked of her name. (Chise is "智世," means wisdom and generation.) “Robin” refers to the European robin bird, and Chise's red hair and her bird like surname Hatori reinforced that idea. Also, Sleigh Beggy can be referred to "夜の愛し仔 (the beloved child of the night)" in the setting.

Titania and Oberon were the king and Queen of Faeries in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". The names preceded Shakespeare, however. The Tir na nÓg (with that weird capitalization) is the name of the Celtic Underworld. This anime uses actual mythology appropriately, and the world you are shown is a mix of various folklore that works amazingly well.
