When the blonde female was talking to christopher he said that they where ordered by there country to capture slaves and if they were exposed it could cause a diplomatic incident that could lead to them being disowned by there country. Thats why they became the new black wind gang. The goddess tried to stop the heroes from running into the main char and now he's gonna kick there butt for the fun of it :D

Considering the set up in this episode, where the goddess temporarily left to fetch her avatar, I'm guessing she'll personally be the one to stop the MC's squad from decimating the hero's party. As "mid" as this show has been for me this season, I still enjoy some of my trash isekai in every season and this just so happened to be one of them.

Im assuming in this a Tamer can control and "summon" beasts/creatures only and a Summoner can also summon people and very high level monsters

Summoners are super rare, while tamers are merely rare. I think one difference is that Summoners can control more powerful creatures than tamers. A Summoner also boosts the stats and performance of summons. It might also be the case that a Summoner's summons cannot be permanently killed if the Summoner remains alive.

I agree on where this ranks in relation to other anime. Even the LN/Manga is merely better than average, although fun to read. It is interesting that even though this series isn't the best that somehow I remember the names (apart from the Kelvin/Kevin confusion that we share) I think the reason the battles were offscreen is that they were so short (one punch/one kick) and disappointing that they weren't worth the time. The hero party is indeed more powerful than their level would indicate. I think Kelvin will reach rank S and duel other rank S adventurers soon. Now those battles will be worth watching.

The hero isn't always an idiot unless the series isn't focused on the "Hero" then they're always a self-righteous moron with more muscles than sense. But a series focused on the hero can go either way.
